A Dedham Thanksgiving tradition is going online this year.
The ninth annual Family Gratitude 5K Turkey Trot, sponsored by Ripples of Hope, decided to go virtual because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Organizers will present three ways to participate:
REGISTER FOR VIRTUAL 5K RUN/WALK
Upload your times (and photos) anytime between Nov. 1 and 26 (Thanksgiving Day). Be one of the first 250 registered participants and receive a free long-sleeved event T-shirt.
• Individual Participant – $25 (early bird fee now through Oct. 31)
• Family & Friends Teams – (receive a 20% discount off individual 5K participant fee, minimum four participants – discount applied at checkout)

Deepen your impact this year by bringing your family together by creating a better understanding of what gratitude and creating Ripples means to you.
• Register today to receive your “Be the Ripple” Packet with fun, easy activities to bring the whole family together. Challenge yourself as you play “Bingo” with the insightful activities on the game board provided and post pictures along the way with the hashtag #ripplesofhope2020 to see how other families in your community are coming together in this season of gratitude.

Support the campaign to double the impact; sponsor this year’s Neighbor to Neighbor Virtual Supper (gift a holiday meal for a senior or a family of four).
Proceeds from the race benefit the Dedham Food Pantry, Dedham Youth Commission – College Bound Program, local Ripples of Hope initiatives and globally with Kliptown Youth Program (South Africa).
The annual RACE DAY food drive with a twist. Participants can opt-in during registration to help Ripples of Hope raise even more funds and create random acts of kindness for our communities by sponsoring this year’s Neighbor to Neighbor Virtual Table.
